Founder/Owner
Glen founded the company in 2003 with over 15 years of prior experience. He oversees the business end of CIAD.
Tyler Lauzier
General Manager
Tyler is Glen Lauzier's son. He has over 10 years of experience in this industry. He handles the day-to-day operations.
Max Miller
Supervisor
Max joined our team in 2019. He has been promoted to on-site supervisor because of his exemplary work.
Custom Interior & Design, a privately held company founded in 2003 by Robert and Glen Lauzier, is located in the heart of Litchfield County in Winsted, Connecticut. The company has experienced many changes over the last 30+ years. It began in small garage and a limited number of tools in which has blossomed through our dedication to quality workmanship and unsurpassed customer service. In turn, Custom Interior & Design transitioned into a 3,500+ sq. foot building in northern Winsted, Connecticut. Our workmanship has given us opportunity to become an award-winning millwork shop. Our goal is never to compromise on quality, and our work showcases that.

Throughout this transition, the company remains committed to upholding its high standards and unwavering dedication to quality. Tyler's deep-rooted passion for the business is evident in his upbringing, having spent his formative years in the workshop surrounded by woodworking supplies. His early exposure to the craft has instilled in him a shared love for the business, mirroring the same fervor and commitment as his father, Glen.
As Glen, the dedicated second-generation family member, nears retirement, the company has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving into a true generational family enterprise. With succession plans firmly in place for his son Tyler to assume ownership and oversee day-to-day operations, the business is poised to seamlessly transition to the next generation. Looking ahead, the company has ambitious goals to expand its operations and offer an exceptional product at an affordable price point to a wider audience beyond its current clientele.
